Over the centuries and especially in the first two thirds of the 20th Century, a relatively few landowners, aided by the government and its military, grabbed peasant land any way they could, including mass murder, and left the people they robbed poorer than they already had been. The country has a bloody history, and much of it is due to the wholesale robbing of the poor. Same as Venezuela. Socialism sucks, eh Krause? The powerful always take from the poor. And it is still going on. And you right-wingers wonder what brought about communism and the Russian Revolution. Not to worry, the way Trump and his plutocrat buddies are raiding America's wealth, it may happen here. Not in my lifetime, perhaps, but within 20-30 years. Both right and left have raided America’s wealth. Last left leaning administration stole an extra $10,000,000,000 that is 10 trillion from the kids and grandkids. Yeah, it should have been given back to the taxpayers it was stolen from to begin with... Is a debt obligation. So stole from future generations. |
