It is an "Exclusive Upgrade Notification" with my very own "Personal Web Key".

Local dealer is apparently "the site for an exciting and unique Toyota
Truck Upgrade Sale" which is only available to select clients.

I was wondering if I should contact and tell them that a handful of
know-it-alls in wrecked.boats claim that my Highlander isn't a truck.

Anyway they are offering interest rates as low as 0%...cash incentives
up to $4k and a special $2k trade-in voucher. Gotta make up my mind by Feb 26.

I got a 0% interest offer from Toyota when I got the Tacoma. No trade
necessary, though I did have a trade. I think there was also a $1000
cash incentive, but I don't recall for sure. The dealership tried to
sell me on a bunch of "add-on" accessories (such as undercoating" which
I turned down.

Most of those 0% deals are an OR deal. 0% financing or some bucks rebate.
California, we. Get screwed on rebates. You pay sales tax on the whole
deal. Before rebate. And the rebate is taxable. Just take the money
off the price!

That only works if the rebate is from the dealer. If it's from the
manufacturer, they have to make it a line item.

In California they tax the the sales price before rebates. Dealer or
manufacturer.

A dealer "rebate" is nothing more than a discount so it should be a
reduction in the sales price.

You'll do it. You fall for all of that sales BS.

Well, I do have 43700 kilometers on the odometer (roughly 27000 miles) and it will be 5 years old at the end of next month. Plus I like the new dash much better. Decisions...decisions.
Wife was working on me to trade in our Bayliner for a VR4...a full 18 feet long and wider. Comes with either a 200hp I/O or a 115 hp Mercury outboard. have to admit the 175BR squats a bit in the water with passengers in the rear jump seats and it's a bit more effort to get it up on plane compared to when there is only the two of us and our Springer Spaniel.

Everyone told you that boat was underpowered.

135 hp for a 17.5 foot boat?? Not likely.
We just need a bigger boat with more hp if we plan on carrying guests on a regular basis.

Man, y'all sure have short memories. I reported that I had traded for the Bayliner 175BR AFTER the deal was done. I signed the papers right at the 2016 Halifax Boat Show but didn't pickup my new boat until that June. All your great advice was after the fact.
