Go to a deserted parking lot that has some ice/snow on it and try to lock them up. You will know right away if the ABS is working. Not only that, but if the ABS is really disabled, your dash should be lit up like a Christmas tree! Are those the specific error codes for your vehicle, or the generic ones listed for your reader? They can be a bit different. If I were John I'd try the "Control-Alt-Delete" procedure. Disconnect the positive lead from the battery, wait for about 10 minutes, reconnect and then see if the codes are still there and if his remote starter works properly. On these new cars that is more like unplugging it, taking the CMOS battery out and pushing the power on button. That sommich will forget everything you ever taught it. Good. That's what I want. I've done this in the past after driving like an old lady over a long period. The vehicle learns your driving habits, adjusting things like advance, shift points, etc. Removing the battery resets it and it feels like a new vehicle again until it relearns. |

They have an app for your cellphone. I just got an email from OnStar giving me my mileage, remaining oil life and a reminder it's time for a oil change and tire rotation. It's like having a Nanny watching you. |
