My old Garmin 38 died on me recently and it is not repairable.
So, I am in the market for a new GPS and I realise I can go two ways. Either I go for something 'basic', something with approximately the same features as my old 38, or I go for a unit that can show charts. My boat and the way I sail rules out the bigger, fixed units so even the chart plotter must be handheld unit like the new Garmin 60C or 76C. Anyone with experience of those or simmilar GPSs? Are charts on that size of display really worth bothering with?
