It's amazing how quickly gas prices go up for whatever reasons and how
slowly they come back down after the reasons have passed.

The little gas station Mrs.E. and I go to has the lowest gas prices in
the area. When other stations are at $2.25 a gallon, this one is at
$2.15. Run by super nice and friendly people too.

Shortly before Harvey, the price for a gallon had risen to $2.23. I
noticed this morning when driving by the station that the price has now
risen to $2.53 a gallon.

Why don't you have your own refineries and not be so dependent on the USA?

Here diesel was $2.49 a week ago. Three days ago a dime was added. Yesterday another dime. Haven't
looked today.

Petition to have some refineries moved to nova skosha and while
you're at it. Petition to have a pipeline installed from the gulf
to nova skosha. I don't think the New England states would
mind.

Be glad that you're getting any gas at all. Those at the end of a
long supply chain get what's left over.

Hmm, let me guess ... because that is where the oil is and where the
tankers dock?
I suppose they could put them on the west coast where the earth quakes
are or on the east coast where the snow flakes will bitch about them.
The fact is environmental concerns have prevented virtually any new
refinery construction in the US for the last 30 years and a number
have been closed. People bitch about the evils of oil and the
production, fighting any new development and then they bitch when the
price goes up.

Duh...we do Johnny. Ever hear of Irving in Saint John NS?
The last one in Nova Scotia was closed a couple years ago and now is just a tank farm.

How would a pipeline from the deep south help us? Do you plan on pumping polluted seawater up every few years?
