Harry, the only person in this newsgroup who ever felt seriously

it was
twice (two different people) and I have a hazy memory about you
contacting the FBI about one of them.

You aren't about to punch anyone in the nose.

I drove right through Huntingtown and I couldn't get Harry to meet me
for a beer or a cup of coffee. I spent 3 days in the area.

The day you suggested I was busy.

Seems to be a habit with you.Â* Here's a blast from the past ... 1994
or 1995 or so.Â* You announced you were traveling to Boston for some
purpose and asked if anyone could recommend a place to go fishing.Â* I
was new to rec.boats then and offered to take you out fishing on the
boat I had at the time.Â* In fact, Justan was going to join us.Â* I
made the offer to you but suddenly you no longer had the time.

Then the famous encounter with Peggie Hall at the boat show.Â* You
described her here, told us how you walked by the booth a couple of
times but never had the courage to go up to her and introduce
yourself. Can't blame you.Â* Even back then she probably would have
called security based on the way you treated her here.

I've had the pleasure of meeting up with a few of the rec.boats
participants over the years.Â* Obviously, I've known Justan for many
years and we've had a few beers back when we drank beer.
There was another guy ... Charlie ... who went by the handle
"Wavelength" also.Â* He had a boat in the same marina.

I also met up with a guy who used to post here who lived in San
Diego. Mrs.E. and I were taking a trip out there for a friend's
wedding and we met up with the guy and his wife for dinner at a
restaurant. Nice couple.Â* Can't remember his name.Â* Again, this was
many moons ago.

I don't remember that Boston possibility, and I don't think you do,
either. There was a long line of people waiting to meet up with Peggy
at the Annapolis show, and I didn't feel like waiting. I was busy the
day Fretwell was available; I'm not retired, and had other obligations.

These days, there's probably only one person I'd care to meet up
with...Nova Scotia Donnie. There used to be more, but they've
left...there was a Canadian boat dealer, a sailing boat guy from
Philly, and, of course, Larry from South Carolina. He was interesting
and bizarre...attributes I find appealing.

The rest of you, all righties, nah.

Oh, I remember the Boston possibility well.Â* I haven't lost my memory
.... yet.

I do remember thinking I might stop by your musical instrument store to
take a peek at your B3 Hammonds, but by the time I got around to it, you
had closed or sold the store. That was the last time I was in Boston,
but I have been in Providence twice since. I've been in New Haven and
environs twice this summer and another trip is in the offing, but I
doubt we'll get further east than Guilford.

The Boston trip and fishing invite was back in the mid 90's, as I
indicated in my original post.
