Seriously, many hard workers despise the unions because they don't
recognize their dedication. They see negotiated pay raises as a
roadblock to their advancement. If they AND the slackers get an extra
$.25 per hour they have no incentive to stay there and work harder, and
smarter. They have no hope of earning any more than the guy who shows
up drunk but somehow keeps his job because the union is behind him. And
then there are the union dues...
