Odd fact...we are the only province that isn't an island that doesn't border with the US. |

Clearing in to Canada by boat is really a breeze, no pun intended. You call an 800 number from a special pay phone, answer a few questions, get a clearance number, and off you go. --- This email has been checked for viruses by AVG. http://www.avg.com |

The majority of the canucks I encountered were nice, but some had a snarky attitude exceeding what I've encountered in the states. And it wasn't toward me. It seems you have your share of slammers and little slammers up there. Look in the mirror for the last example. |

In this country, we give the logging rights to private companies so they can profit greatly from public lands. They pay for those logging rights. So they are sold, not given. |

I've crossed the U.S.-Canada border legally many times, and never have had the slightest delay or problem. Your experience is not the same as everyone's. Neither is FlaJackoffJim's. I've driven across and flown across, the later in commercial and private planes. Cleared customs once in Cleveland, of all places. I never stated what my experience was, haree. But there's no doubt the border has a deserved reputation for detaining and harassing people from time to time. As usual, you're "special". Amen. Crossed the border to visit Montreal while on a motorcycle trip. Had to unpack the entire bike at the Canadian border to show we weren't carrying weapons. Another time was questioned and threatened with searches for a good 15-20 minutes at the Niagara Falls crossing. Unreal. |
