Default Mercury outboard serial #

My Mercury 50 hp outboard has a ser# clearly stamped 6420009. Most websites say it doesn't exist. What year is it?
It doesn't have power trim. Can I put power trim on this motor?

Try here. There are several dealers who hang out there.
