I don't think he'll shoot any of them, but I'm guess their pick-me-up truck tires might be targeted if he catches them. And that's not being political? Yeah, he didn't want anyone's political signs up on his property. The property is posted -no trepassing, no hunting, et cetera. |

That's typically a right-of-way that is owned by the state, and is where those signs were likely placed. If he uses that .308 on someone's tires as suggested, he'll just end up in jail. You can't use a rifle to "scare off" someone without consequences. |

Sounds like aggravated assault to me and in Florida it gets you a mandatory 20 years if you fire a gun. Hope he gets the rifle, whatever he gets, because I'll be able to "borrow it" on my trips out there...though he said ammo was not cheap. Typically you can get 7.62x51/.308 for around half a buck a round (brass) but if you want the good stuff it is a buck or more. That chinese/russian steel is cheaper but I will not put it in my M1A. I still have a bunch of military surplus that I got for 33 cents a round. It shoots very well. |

Usually the state owns 30-40 feet from the centerline of the road. That is even true in little neighborhood streets. It is 33 feet (from C/L) in front of my house. If I wanted, I could make the county mow the first ~10 feet of my yard. It was the same in Clinton. I found that out when I wanted to widen my driveway. I ended up making it 25' wide on my part and the existing single lane in the ROW. |

But I made sure to clean the barrel to get out any redefine of spent powder. Even though it was supposed to be safe, I still didn't trust it's "cleanliness " as of to say.., |
