If that vet is in the direction straits you claim, I'd think a "gun" would be low on his list of priorities.
How about suitable winter clothing, maybe some medical apparatus to make life easier etc.

I didn't claim he was in 'direction straits'. Where did you get that idea? Or, are you simply, in
your words, attempting to instigate?

It's obvious - as usual.

The term "**** for brains" was a popular one back in junior
high. You
do realize you're the most prolific tosser of JHSLI's, don't you?

You should quit whining.

The popularity of phrases in junior high pretty much depends on when
and
where you attended junior high. Back in the day when I was at Susan
Sheridan Junior High, jerks like Justan were referred to as
"flamers,"
which was "short" for flaming assholes. Typically, one of the junior
high tough guys, and we had a few, would beat the **** out of the
Justans once a week and send them home with a bloody nose and a torn
shirt. Those of us who were smarter tutored some of the tough guys
who
wanted to get through junior high and high school and therefore we
were
considered untouchable.

We didn't have "anonymous" loudmouths back then. Justan would have
had
to have behaved or been one of the class punching bags.

Ha ha ha. So, you were a "brain" (popular phrase back then) and
therefore of immense value to the mere mortals trying to get through.
Meanwhile, you claim to be a regular Don Juan of the school, chasing
every skirt that walked by. What a freakin' joke.

I was one of many bright kids at Sheridan, and I helped out some of the
boys who had trouble with their classes in English and American
History.
I also
had a couple of girl friends in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade in junior high,
as did almost every other guy. That's a tad different than being a
"regular Don Juan," right?

Not according to your claims.

You're either imaging or listening to your intellectually challenged
buddy, "JustHopeless." I had a *couple* of girlfriends, two or three,
in junior high.

"imaging"? Really?

Ha, ha! I noticed that too. The pretty girls went for the tough, athletic guys, not the bookworm "goody two shoes". He's exposing himself again.

There are a lot of issues here we haven't even scratched the surface on.

You didn't 'owe' me anything. It was a gracious gift to go towards a gift I plan to give an old Army

company folded, and is now living with his son and getting only Social Security.

Harry's money will be well spent!

Yesterday a golf buddy who has a huge garden came over to pick up some leaves (about 30 bags -
mulched) for his garden. We got the pickup loaded and came in for some coffee. He is a true blue
liberal, said he stayed in bed for three days after the election. We had a bit of discussion about
the Washington Post and CNN and the advantages of using Google News as a home page.

Anyway, we started talking guns. He's wanting a small 9mm which he can operate. He's 84 now and
pulling the slide back on his .45 is getting hard. He's got one of the old Colt Commanders. During
the discussion, I mentioned my buddy Carmen, and told him about my plan. I also told him the whole
story of Harry's 'generosity' which gave him a kick.

Last evening, after thinking about it on the ride back out to his house (about an hour's ride), he
gives me a call. Says he wants to add some money to the til for the SR1911.

So, by the grace of two liberals, I'm ever closer to getting that gun for Carmen!

Thanks again!

The gun stocks are way down since Trump won. I bet ammo will get

Alex, thank you too! I've not ordered the gun yet. Waiting to see if the Trump election will cause
prices to drop a bit. Lots of dealers really stocked up expecting Hillary to win.

How ironic. The liberals are stashing guns and ammo while their
leaders are trying their best to gun grab from honest
citizens.

I wonder how many liberals own stock in gun companies and do their anti-second amendment **** just
to drive up demand.

The gun stocks are way down since Trump won. I bet ammo will get
cheaper too in the short term.

One of my Page County, Virginia buddies out there by the Shenandoah, a
guy who is completely non-political, says he is planning to buy a .308
rifle to scare off the "assholes who put Trump yard signs on his
property along the state highway without permission." I don't think
he'll shoot any of them, but I'm guess their pick-me-up truck tires
might be targeted if he catches them.

Hope he gets the rifle, whatever he gets, because I'll be able to
"borrow it" on my trips out there...though he said ammo was not cheap.

And that's not being political?
