But she loved the ride and was impressed at how smooth and quiet this macbine is. It's no speed demon even though Honda boasts of 81 hp from the 1100cc engine, but the beast also weighs about 750 lb dry too. Anyhow I had it up to 80 which warrented a tough in the ribs. So.., Oh this bike has some quirks but it's 33 years old too. Nothing that can't be reasonably handled though. After work I'm planning on goofing off maybe another hundred miles tonight. I love it! You go, guy! Nothing like a nice evening ride out there in the country. Here it seems to take 45 minutes to get to a decent riding area. Better post a picture or two. You're probably making Harry feel badly. I havent' heard about any of his 'Ducati' escapades lately. How's the seat on that thing? Comfortable? I don't have "escapades," Racist John, but I was up in Connecticut recently with my motorcycle, which I transported in the back of my pick-me-up-truck. I don't transport mine in anything. I ride them. But I can see where putting a Ducati on the back of a pick up truck can be the thing to do, especially if you want to make some sort of a statement. http://gallery.ducatispot.com/image_db/kerry/5373.jpg Last time my bike rode in the back of the van, was it's last ride. Ride home from the side of the freeway. Blown engine, split barrel, hosed. |

We see a lot of motorcycles riding in trailers and pick me ups. I guess the owners are afraid to break in the saddles or wear the little nibs off the tires. I hear that's a normal procedure for bike been in Daytona, and even Sturgis.. You can always tell the trailer queens. They're the ones with the out of state plates with not one bug or even a sprinkle of dust on them... |

His 'Ducati escapade' was probably much like his 'Parker Rendezvous' - another lie. |

Would that be what you attend when you visit your old navee buddies, to reminisce about your wartime escapades sharing condoms? |

No, it's one to which you haul your 'Ducati' to pose with it for some pictures so you can pretend you ride it, kind of like the picture you 'posed' for at the Parker rally you 'attended'. Remember that one? |

You mean something like those events Herring tows his portable motel room to so he can hang out with the other old white guys and listen to ersatz hillbilly music? No, I don't go to those. This was just one of a few trips I make each year to the New Haven area to hang out with old friends. Got pretty good MPGs driving up and back, too. |
