Yes I bought one. A used 1983 Honda Aspencade with only 23xxx miles on it. Nice bike I bought well cheap too. Missus and I logged 180 miles Sunday afternoon. Man was it hot. But she loved the ride and was impressed at how smooth and quiet this macbine is. It's no speed demon even though Honda boasts of 81 hp from the 1100cc engine, but the beast also weighs about 750 lb dry too. Anyhow I had it up to 80 which warrented a tough in the ribs. So..,

Oh this bike has some quirks but it's 33 years old too. Nothing that can't be reasonably handled though. After work I'm planning on goofing off maybe another hundred miles tonight. I love it!

You go, guy! Nothing like a nice evening ride out there in the country. Here it seems to take 45
minutes to get to a decent riding area. Better post a picture or two.

You're probably making Harry feel badly. I havent' heard about any of his 'Ducati' escapades lately.

How's the seat on that thing? Comfortable?

I don't have "escapades," Racist John, but I was up in Connecticut
recently with my motorcycle, which I transported in the back of my
pick-me-up-truck.

I don't transport mine in anything. I ride them. But I can see where putting a Ducati on the back of a pick up truck can be the thing to do, especially if you want to make some sort of a statement.

Most likely that's the Ducati he transported - a sticker on the back of his baby pickup.

Isn't there some Klanboree to which you should be towing your motel room?

No need to tow a motel room if you'd offer bed and breakfast to
someone when visiting Klan headquarters. After all it is so
close to your hamlet in the country.

D'oh. "In" the back is not the same as "on" the back. I had a lot of
"stuff" to take up there with me, and the truck easily holds all of it.

Last time my bike rode in the back of the van, was it's last ride. Ride
home from the side of the freeway. Blown engine, split barrel, hosed.

Luckily everything broke and did not lock up the motor. Bike gave a little
jerk and lost power. Rod broke, so bike kept rolling. Guy on a big Yamaha
stopped and gave me a ride the last 5 miles or so home. Mine was a Kawa
350 rotary valve. Small 2 cylinder version of the H1.
