Had the driveway pavers here for an estimate to rip up the old driveway and replace with new base and asphalt top.
That should help make backing the boat in a big smoother.
Brother-in-law knows the owner so we feel we can trust them and they are a member of the BBB.
There are a number of fly by night paving companies in the area so I've been reluctant to go through the process until now.

I noticed asphalt was very popular up there. I went with concrete when
I lived in Md because it is better if you are working on your car. I
heard it was not as stable but on a good substrate and properly cured
it will last forever.
Down here I would not even consider it.

Not anymore. I kissed the 1000 ft long, 16 ft wide driveway over a
month ago. It was due to be repaved as well. Glad I am not paying for it.

I think I would consider asphalt for that much road (anything over
100' is a road).
That is about 20 truckloads of concrete (200yds) What is that up
there? $20 grand?
It would take a 10 man union crew 2 days to do that but 3 Mexicans
could do it in a day ;-)

Three of Judy's guys did my 40 yard driveway in about 3 hours but I
did have it graded and formed when they got here
