Perhaps I am reacting to the hate, division, fear-mongering, racism, anti-abortionism, sexism, xenophobia, and anti-gay talk I see coming constantly from the GOP presidential wannabes and their congressional brothers and sisters, and many of the Republican governors. They just never seem to stop. I know many of them are "fighting" for the "evangelical" and "base" vote, but, crikey, if you have to be that hateful 24-7 to get those voters, you become just like them. You are allowing the beliefs and comments of a very few speak for the total GOP in your mind. You are super sensitized to this and automatically interpret everything you hear or see through that filter. Actually, I made that up. You'll just find and say anything possible to get a Democrat elected even if she may be headed for an indictment before she even gets started. :-) |

I almost choked on my coffee earlier, because I thought I heard a CNN announcer say that Halle Berry, my old girlfriend, was going to give the GOP response to the SOTU. Alas, I misheard. ![]() |
