I'm not a big fan of Hillary but people need to get over this
notion
that Planned Parenthood and abortion are the biggest issues facing
the
country.
Agreed, although I don't like paying taxes to support Planned
Parenthood.
Perhaps the answer is for PP to separate out it's abortion business
from the other medical services they provide. Let people choose
where
their money goes. I am not against the abortion part myself. As a
cheap ******* I understand it saves money in the long run but I
understand some folks think every future junkie and car jacker has
the
right to life.
Don't forget to throw in the engineers and doctors!
For every Ben Carson you have thousands of people who cycle between
welfare, crime and jail
For every Ben Carson, you have thousands of people who are not bigoted
assholes. I take no real joy in his demonstrating his unfitness for
political office, because the bigoted assholes in the GOP who are
sucking up his supporters are as bad or worse.
I'm unconvinced the righties are opposed to abortion because of their
alleged respect for human life. I think that is bull****...they
disrespect human life in so many other ways. I think it has almost
everything to do with the attempt to continue to control the sexuality
of women.
You sure have some bizarre and frankly unhealthy (mentally) ideas
floating around in your head. Have you ever considered therapy to get
to the root of the problems?
Perhaps I am reacting to the hate, division, fear-mongering, racism,
anti-abortionism, sexism, xenophobia, and anti-gay talk I see coming
constantly from the GOP presidential wannabes and their congressional
brothers and sisters, and many of the Republican governors. They just
never seem to stop. I know many of them are "fighting" for the
"evangelical" and "base" vote, but, crikey, if you have to be that
hateful 24-7 to get those voters, you become just like them.
You are allowing the beliefs and comments of a very few speak for the
total GOP in your mind. You are super sensitized to this and
automatically interpret everything you hear or see through that filter.
Actually, I made that up. You'll just find and say anything possible to
get a Democrat elected even if she may be headed for an indictment
before she even gets started. :-)
Whatever "the total GOP is," not much of it is vocally objecting to the
horrific statements most of its candidates and many of its officeholders
are making. They and not the so-called "mainstream Republicans" (whose
numbers are rapidly diminishing) speak for the party these days.
As for Mrs. Clinton, I don't see an indictment in her future, despite
the fervent wishes of you and several others here. And, yes, I would far
prefer to see her or Bernie elected than *any* of the Republicans
seeking that office. You betcha.
