I was prepping an old laptop this afternoon for a house guest arriving
tomorrow.
Low and behold there was a windows icon in the task tray. I clicked on
it and was presented with an offer for Win 10. I said sure and hours
later it's still whirring away loading.

None of my machines "log on". I disabled that.
I can force a log in to administrator but the user log in is automatic
straight to the desktop.
