Default The Eagles are Back

No silly, not the Philadelphia Eagles, the Southwest Florida Eagles.
For those of you who followed last year's soap opera, you are no doubt
aware that Ozzie has passed on after losing a nasty fight to a rival
for Harriet's affections. Harriet returned this fall with her new
lover (known rather clinically as M15) and hopefully she will lay
some eggs one of these days. Stay tuned.

Meanwhile it's a nice day here in SWFL and both eagles are up and
about on the web cam.

Been watching it on and off for the last week. Egg watch is on.
Sad about Ozzie. The rehab center did a great job nursing him back
to health, released him and he was seen back in the nest area.
But, nature is nature. New eagle in town.

Yeah, a lot of that has been going on. Talk about fast.
From what I read in the site's "chat box", eagles mate regularly
thoughout the year but the female is only fertile for a very short
period of time annually.
