Interesting but they listed 40 in 31 years. Where does your other
(380? a year) statistic come from?

How many of those 300+ mass shootings are really something like a
"drive by" at a drug corner?

Terrorism, domestic or foreign inspired, is still not really bumping
the needle on things that kill us. It is just what sells newspapers,
drives TV ads and elects fear mongering politicians.

The left does like muddling unrelated statistics together to make
their case tho so I am not shocked.

Terrorism is not the act of killing. The act of killing is murder.

Terrorism is the attempt to control an individual, a group or a nation
by threatening violence or death if you don't comply, conform or, in
some cases, just for the hell of it to make a point.

Terrorism is intended to cause actions in response that are beneficial
to those conducting the terrorism.

I suppose it all depends on how circumspect you want to be in your
definition. It is a whole lot easier to call that drive by on the drug
corner as terrorism than a deranged teenager who shoots up a school.

The drive by is certainly intended to scare people into compliance
(get off my corner, don't snitch, fear my gang etc)
It is as close to the intent of islamic terrorism as anything else.

The big difference is it is usually done by people we don't care about
TO people we don't care about so it doesn't even make the news unless
a "civilian" catches a stray.
