What I'd be more interested in would be exploring your little waterways on the pontoon...as long as I don't get bitten by a gator. Any time. |

Except for infrequent rain storms, is sunny at the coast. And when we get large storms way out at sea, is great to take a day over to the coast to watch huge breakers. When we get the 20-25' swells. We were in California in June and Oregon in July. (separate trips) The beach was freezing both times. Oregon was in the 50s and low 60s at the beach. Inland was a lot warmer and the Gorge (Columbia river near Mt Hood) was "Florida hot". Up on the mountain was a lot cooler. http://gfretwell.com/ftp/Oregon/Mt%2...0Mt%20Hood.jpg This is near the Timberline Lodge where "The Shining" was filmed. When we got down to San Diego/LaJolla the weather was very pleasant, mid 70s but the water is still pretty cold. |

Now how in the world could he guarantee that. People coax them near boats with marshmallows. Guess what you would look like to a gator. A big gator might be able to flip a kayak if you were doing something stupid like feeding one but I would not be concerned at all in a real boat. Guys hunt them in 14' Jon boats. |

Since the water is cold here, you get cold beaches in the summer up north California. Winter is cold in the inland valleys so nice beach weather. We have been in Carmel at 5 pm in February on the beach and 75 degrees. Water still cold. |

I carry a gun just in case there is a breakdown... |
