Harry doesn't think money is important, but he plans on dying at his desk, still hustling up that stuff that isn't important to him. As I have stated here many times, I do indeed hope to be able to work at what I enjoy doing until I fall over and die. Many of my friends are doing the same. I don't get psychic rewards for doing household improvements or repairs, but I do for the sort of writing I do professionally, and it is nice getting paid for it. I suppose it is all in what makes you happy. I like building things that will survive my death and there is nothing like stone and concrete for longevity. It is nice not paying for that. Yabut, in Harry's world you are an uneducated dumbfoch because you didn't pursue the same academic route that *he* took. I always thought a liberal arts education was supposed to open your mind to concepts and ideas and contribute to being a well rounded person in life, better prepared to deal with people unlike yourself. Glad I stuck with electrons. I like electronics too but it just got boring to me when you had a million components on a chip. I still dabble with discrete parts these days but it is nothing earth shattering. |

Hey, if you and your party want to encourage crazy people like Carson to seek your nomination, it's fine with me, but I'll call him out for being crazy, ignorant, overly religious, and bizarre. Unfortunately, that seems to describe a whole bunch of the GOPers seeking the top job nomination. |

Yet another example of your imagination on overdrive. I never said $$$ was not important...I just don't think it is the most important thing in life, or a significant way to judge the quality of a person. I'm sure Carson will make a ton of money, but he'll still be an overly religious, ignorant, superstitious fachidiot. Heh. Seems like those of us with a more conservative nature are far more open minded, respective and understanding of other people's beliefs than the progressive liberals who live in a simple, binary world. Open minded about a totally unqualified psychopath seeking your party's nomination? Heheh. Right. |
