Dr. Idiot on the Purpose of the Great Pyramids…
GOP frontrunner Ben Carson, in a 1998 commencement address, floated his own personal theory that the pyramids in Egypt were built by Joseph -- the biblical patriarch known for his coat of many colors -- to store grain, Buzzfeed reported. In the speech -- given at Andrews University, a school with ties to Carson's Seventh-day Adventist faith -- the neurosurgeon shot down claim that aliens had built the pyramids. But he also disagreed with the archaeological consensus that the pyramids were constructed as tombs for the pharaohs. “My own personal theory is that Joseph built the pyramids to store grain,” Carson said. “Now all the archeologists think that they were made for the pharaohs’ graves. But, you know, it would have to be something awfully big if you stop and think about it. And I don’t think it’d just disappear over the course of time to store that much grain.” In the video surfaced by Buzzfeed Wednesday, Carson goes on to lay out his argument that the pyramids were constructed for grain storage. “And when you look at the way that the pyramids are made, with many chambers that are hermetically sealed, they’d have to be that way for various reasons," Carson said. "And various of scientists have said, ‘well, you know there were alien beings that came down and they have special knowledge and that’s how-’ you know, it doesn’t require an alien being when God is with you.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrqShRhxJBM |

The theory is that pyramids were actually carved out of hills ... shaped from the top down, rather than the bottom up. http://tinyurl.com/qcx2494 |

All you have to do is type a Republican's name and Harry immediately jumps to the conclusion that it means you agree with or support the person. Makes one think that progressive liberals are paranoid by nature. I know, I said I liked Harry Browne, damned near 20 years ago and now Harry thinks I want to fire all of the meat inspectors. All I was doing was pointing out what I think is Carson's game plan. He'll make millions on books and speaking engagements after he drops out of "politics". Look at Huckabee. His previous run for the nomination resulted in a multi-year TV show on Fox, book contracts and speaking engagements. Are you starting to believe one of these guys can beat Hillary? Otherwise why would you care? Silly Yes your obsession with the GOP candidates is but you still didn't answer the question ... why? |

He'll never be POTUS and he knows it. But he *will* be rich. Harry doesn't think money is important, but he plans on dying at his desk, still hustling up that stuff that isn't important to him. Yet another example of your imagination on overdrive. I never said $$$ was not important...I just don't think it is the most important thing in life, or a significant way to judge the quality of a person. I'm sure Carson will make a ton of money, but he'll still be an overly religious, ignorant, superstitious fachidiot. Heh. Seems like those of us with a more conservative nature are far more open minded, respective and understanding of other people's beliefs than the progressive liberals who live in a simple, binary world. Open minded about a totally unqualified psychopath seeking your party's nomination? Heheh. Right. Sounds like both major party. I'm sure it does to you, Bilious. Hillary and Bernie? Really They are all weak Neither Mrs. Clinton nor Mr. Sanders are crazy. Ben Carson is crazy. JFK was a Catholic. Catholics believe in the Immaculate Conception. Was JFK crazy? |

As I have stated here many times, I do indeed hope to be able to work at what I enjoy doing until I fall over and die. Many of my friends are doing the same. I don't get psychic rewards for doing household improvements or repairs, but I do for the sort of writing I do professionally, and it is nice getting paid for it. I suppose it is all in what makes you happy. I like building things that will survive my death and there is nothing like stone and concrete for longevity. It is nice not paying for that. Yabut, in Harry's world you are an uneducated dumbfoch because you didn't pursue the same academic route that *he* took. I always thought a liberal arts education was supposed to open your mind to concepts and ideas and contribute to being a well rounded person in life, better prepared to deal with people unlike yourself. Glad I stuck with electrons. Hey, if you and your party want to encourage crazy people like Carson to seek your nomination, it's fine with me, but I'll call him out for being crazy, ignorant, overly religious, and bizarre. Unfortunately, that seems to describe a whole bunch of the GOPers seeking the top job nomination. Isn't it great? It's what makes the USA different and unique from the rest of the world. Hell, even *you* could run for POTUS and exercise that high IQ of yours. You could borrow Truman's 1948 campaign slogan: "I'm just wild about Harry". :-) I just watched Zakaria from last Sunday. They did a segment on these primaries and the history at this point on the race. Using the polls, the winner in Iowa and New Hampshire in the last 4 races (12 data points). It had exactly 2 right. |
