It was before the days of packaged website design software and I did it all in html using a spreadsheet. It kept me busy in the evenings and weekends and I learned a lot about witing html code. At one point it grew to over 100 submissions and pages and had viewers from all over the world. I maintained it for a couple of years but then became very involved in important issues at my company. I offered the site up to anyone who wanted to take it over and one person (forget who) took it over. For some reason he could only copy a portion of the pictures and submissions, so when he re-established it on another server it was not anywhere as large as the original. |
