Ahh, but which way...up or down? I've never seen a political party
with so many incredibly inept people at its highest levels of elected
office holder, or wannabe elected office holder. I can't imagine voting
for any of the current Republican POTUS wannabes who seem to have a
chance at the nomination. "But...but...but Ben Carson is so nice..." for
a man who knows absolutely nothing about the Constitution, politics, or
geopolitics, and who is a science denier.

It's really astounding how far the party has slipped in integrity and
from relevance. It's sad because conservatism (in its true form) has a
valuable place in our society and our politics. What the Republican
party has become has little to do with conservatism, unfortunately.

I'm in the unusual position of agreeing with you for once. It's very
sad and does not bode well for the future of the country.

I also agree, but feel the Democrats are not any better.

Very true. Very sad. The "Tea Party" movement has destroyed
conservatism and thus the Republican Party.

That's a label coined by the Democrats, not a movement.

I agree.
Even the tea party that was supposed to be "libertarian" let itself be
taken over by the evangelical right.

I may be voting for Deez Nutz. ;-)
