I mostly shoot standing up or from a bench, Tim. I prefer shooting
offhand and sometimes sitting down at a bench with the firearm on a
rest. I don't have a reason to plop down on the group and shoot.

Life's a bit different when you might get shot at. But, the lack of knowledge
exhibited by you and donne' is understandable.

If you were getting shot at in Vietnam, it was because you deserved it.

That's true of all military in combat, isn't it?

I suppose your unit never came under fire?

F'ing liar.

Harry has repeated many times that he registered for the draft and kept
the draft board aware of his residence as required by law. He has also
repeated many times that had he been called to serve he would have,
again as required by law at the time.

Interesting question. If Harry *had* been drafted and sent to
Vietnam as so many others were, would he now consider himself a killer
of babies, women and noncombatants that pillaged Vietnam villages as he
likes to accuse others of having done?

Well, given the integrity with which Harry is imbued, there should be no doubt in
your mind.

Did he ever give you a response regarding the unit he was with while 'recovering
bodies of dead soldiers' in Vietnam?
