Default What Spring?

Man, what a long, drawn out winter and early spring. Right now it's
raw, cold,(36 degrees), windy and it's sleeting and snowing. Had enough
already.

Mrs.E's mother passed away yesterday. The docs had given her about
3 months but I guess she had her own timetable.

It was weird.
In the early afternoon Mrs.E. suddenly got a strange, very peaceful
and calming feeling come over her. She got up and said she felt she
needed to go down and see her mother at the LifeCare facility. She
got there just in time to say her goodbyes and her mother then
peacefully passed away.

I don't know. I am not a religious guy but sometimes things happen
that make you wonder.

Yup......gotta wonder if there is anything to the reality show psychics and what they claim goes on.
Guess we won't know for sure until we pass to the other side.
My condolences to Mrs E and family for her loss.

Sorry for your loss. My wife sensed when my mother died. We were living in
DC at the time and my mother was in SE FLORIDA. Strange.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

My wifes mother is in her late 80s and has a number of health issues
but so far so good. We worry about her though.

Getting really old is tough and it's especially bad in a very close,
Italian cultural environment. My wife and her sister have been the
primary caregivers for both their father (who died a little over a year
ago) and the mother for the past 6 years. After the father died it got
worse with phone calls at all hours 10 or more times a day, picking up
medicine, buying food, paying her bills, dealing with her lawyer, etc.,
plus just the demands for time. Now that it's all over and although
it's only been 24 hours, Mrs.E can't believe the sense of not
having to run out to pick something up or take the complaining phone
calls.

It's something we need to plan for while we still have a few brain cells
left. Nobody wants to become a burden on their kids.

It took me a while after my father died to not think about sharing a
stock tip, or other news with him. I'm still in that learning curve
since I lost my mother last year. Her estate was just settled and I
have an appointment with an attorney to discuss a trust and/or a will
for the reason you outlined. Beneficiaries don't cut it. There's a lot
more than that - including a living will.

Funny...I was talking to my sister last week and she mentioned it still felt funny not going two or three times a week to visit mom at the nursing home. Mom passed just over three years ago.
