Based on what we know about him, probably not very much. I give FOAD high credit here, he has come to a position of non believing through some study of the Bible. I, on the other hand know very little about the Bible but am a non believer because I think it is a bunch of people believing in magic. Mr. Krause and I have found agreement, I couldn't care less what the Bible says about homosexuality. I don't care who sleeps with whom, but I am growing weary of the loud, in your face, flaunting of their position. I do have respect for the Judeo-Christian morals that were used in the formation of this country. With the form of government created, and a population of just 4 million people, in just 150 years of existence the US became the most powerful economic and military power on earth. If there was ever a miracle, that was it. Mikek Don't care to hear about the formation of our government and slavery, societies change slowly, 84 years is a long time, but not so long for a change that was such a major part of Southern commerce. |

I suspect the "in your face" flaunting will die down when "gayness" is accepted by most people as just another variation. I've had gay friends and colleagues since junior high school. No biggie. The least moral person I've ever known sexually was a boss I had at an advertising agency. He slept with every secretary he ever had, and was divorced out of three marriages because of it. He'd sleep with a secretary, his wife would toss him out, he'd marry the secretary, and the cycle would start over. Really smart guy, well, except for that. :) I'm a non-believer in religion, but not because I studied the bible, although I have, and I have read through it and its variations several times. I love the King James bible because of its beautiful use of the English language. Great story telling, rivaling Moby-Dick and Ulysses, my two favorite novels in the English language. |
