Hey Tim, remember when...
....we were kids and would shoot the tip off a deer antler with our .22's? Damn, that
was fun. But, the most fun was when they took off running 'cause they were scared, and then we shot off the rest of the tips. I wonder how many hunters killed a deer and found tipless antlers on the damn thing! -- Guns don't cause problems. Gun owner *behavior* causes problems. |

I'd be afraid to ask what he did to hapless villagers he encountered 'in country' during the Viet Nam war. |

You shouldn't be such an armchair quarterback No, Tim, I don't think posts about cruelty to animals, real or imagined cruelty, are funny. Besides, with Herring, it seems entirely possible he did try to harass animals with his .22LR. He sure seems the type. -- Proud to be a Liberal. |

You shouldn't be such an armchair quarterback Krause has no humour, but oddly, has mentioned that he enjoys having sharp objects stuck up his ass. How strange. |

But I'll bet you're impressed with circled pencil holes on cardboard, yes? BTW, here's an interesting ad. It might lead one to believe that even the Cessna 172, not to mention the A-P (or later) versions, had steerable nose geer. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalo...ingrods172.php I think your instructor was pulling your leg. Both of 'em jumped! I'd like to see someone good enough to hit the tips of a deer antler, especially when the bugger was running! -- Guns don't cause problems. Gun owner *behavior* causes problems. |

Interesting, huh? I think you must have missed my previous comment about this. They have a spring loaded nose gear that allows the wheel to turn while making turns. They are not ... (or at least weren't when I was taking lessons in the older models) directly "steerable" by the pilot. |
