Mr. Luddite March 4th 15 09:30 PM

Hillary's battle cry

All I hear her say is, "Don't you want to see a woman as President of
the United States?"

Don't hear much else on issues, foreign policy, the economy ....

Maybe I have to buy a ticket to one of her $350,000 speaking engagements
to hear her say anything else.

I'm going to a fundraiser sometime this year where Hillary and First

it's NYC or DC or Philly.

A little. If the service was good, I'd probably leave a tip. If one attends a
$3000/plate dinner, and the service is good, must one leave a $600 tip? Or should one
ask to see a union card first? Life is so hard in the fast lanes. Harry knows. I'm

If Harry is actually going to see Hillary at a fund raiser for free,
he is probably one of those servers.
They call them fund raisers fir a reason. Everyone pays, usually an
exorbitant amount. I doubt you can get a hot dog at a Clinton fund
raiser for $3000 (or any other top tier politician)

I don't know how much news you get of American party politics up there,
but if Mrs. Clinton runs as the Democratic nominee, her Republican
opponent is likely to be insane, hate-filled towards minorities and
women, or both. Some of the few remaining more moderate Republicans have
been talking up the possibilities of Jeb Bush who, while not a
right-wing crazy, is very, very conservative and apparently is hopeful
American voters won't remember his brother tanked the U.S. economy and
got us into two serious shooting wars.

Apparently "KC" Scotty is a Republican who votes against the interests

The only question that should be important to any voter is "What is in
the best interests of the country"? It's hard for me to believe that
more indebtedness is the answer, or more divisiveness along racial and
class lines. Certainly going easy on criminals is not the answer no
matter what their racial and ethnic origins. Nor is ignoring, even
encouraging, illegal immigration the answer even if they are inclined
to vote for your favorite political party.

This part- "I don't know how much news you get of American party politics up there,
but if Mrs. Clinton runs as the Democratic nominee, her Republican
opponent is likely to be insane, hate-filled towards minorities and
women,"

Why? because its only your opinion with no standing evidence, thats why.

Tim, as far as I can tell from "the news," the only GOP contender with
serious possibilities to win the nomination who is not crazy or
hate-filled is Jeb Bush, and I just don't see the far-righties who
control the party at the state level giving him the nod. That leaves the
crazies and the haters.

I get the four mainstream channels that Boston receives plus their PBS.
The only difference that I know about is we insert a lot of local advertisements to replace their commercials.
On the other hand I too am tired of Bernie and Phil's endless furniture commercials or New England Toyota rubbing it in how much cheaper car leases are down there.

Heh. Myrtle Beach is about to start their yearly Can-Am Days festival. The running joke down there is "What's the difference between a Canadian and a canoe? The canoe tips!"

NO. The Can-Am days are for Canadians and snowbirds, not motorcycles.

Besides, few South Carolinians go to Myrtle Beach. Way too many tourists, and there are better beaches in SC to visit. We just don't advertise them. :)
