I sold it locally. === I've been told that FedEx will ship guns at a half way reasonable rate. This is where UPS got me: "Handguns, as defined by 18 U.S.C. § 921, will be accepted for transportation only via UPS Next Day Air Services, specifically, UPS Next Day Air® Early A.M.®, UPS Next Day Air®, and UPS Next Day Air Saver®" That 'next day air' **** is what gets expensive. I looked at the Fedex site but could find no such requirement. Next time I'll know better. Hmmm. Volquartsen sent the serial numbered receiver portion of my pistol back to me via "Two Day Air." That was the "handgun" part. -- Proud to be a Liberal. |

My buddy bought a new Ruger pistol that he had to return to the factory for warranty repair of the front sight. He took it to the dealer he bought it from who sent it back to Ruger. Ruger repaired it and shipped it back directly to my friend via UPS. |

Ruger repaired it and shipped it back directly to my friend via UPS. He had a dealer locally to which he could return it. If he'd bought it online, it may have been a different story. Once he accepts it from the FFL, he can't simply drive it back to the dealer. -- Guns don't cause problems. The behavior of certain gun owners causes problems. |
