Since then over 58 inches have fallen. Getting stupid. This amount of snow is great for unpopulated ski locations but towns and cities have run out of places to put the crap. Going to have another cup of coffee and then go hit the driveway again for about the 10th time in the past 2-3 weeks. Same problem. No place to push it. I am really regretting that I got rid of the big snowblower attachment I had for the tractor at one time but it was a rip roaring pain in the ass to take off the front end loader in order to put the snow blower on. I HAVE PLOW TRUCKS AVAILABLE ALONG WITH THE BACK HOE AND MEN TO SHOVEL, IF YOU ARE IN NEED PLEASE CALL 774 930 2986 VERY FRIENDLY SERVICE, CUSTOMER SATISFACTION GUARANTEED, YOU ONLY HAVE TO PAY WHAT YOU WANT TO PAY. I UNDERSTAND IT'S GETTING EXPENSIVE, HOWEVER I CAN COME BY WITH THE BACK HOE AND OPEN YOUR DRIVEWAY RIGHT UP FOR REALLY CHEAP, DON'T BE SHY. I'M DOING THIS TO HELP MAKE YOUR DRIVEWAYS SAFER AND YOUR LIFE EASIER I know, the guy always post all caps but he's a good guy. Are you near enough to Dighton Mass, if so I can shoot you his number... I know he sounds corney but he's the real deal. Out last week doing some folks for free, just because they needed it. Appreciate it but so far we are holding our own. I plowed a couple of times today but finally gave up because there's no longer anywhere for the snow to go. I drove around on the driveway packing down what snow remained and at least we can get out and down to the road. I am always concerned about emergency vehicles being able to get up from the road. Tomorrow I'll spend most of the day moving some piles back about 6 feet with the tractor to make room for more snow. Incredible amount of snow in a short period of time. Originally the weather people thought the "front" would set up more north and the North Shore would get the brunt of the snowfall, but instead the front set up 50 miles to the south which put the South Shore from about Plymouth northward in the heavy bands of snow. When it's all over early Tuesday morning we will have right around 24 inches of new snow on top of the 28 inches we received three days ago. Yeah, me and Jess had a **** of a time getting to work today cause they really don't plow our roads in the neighborhood till later. Got sent home today early though cause of the storm.... I have Wrangler AT's so I usually get around pretty good if I can get off my street ![]() The town has done a pretty good job keeping up with the roads. My problem is keeping our driveway clear so we can even get to the road. The house sits about 600 feet from the road and the driveway circles around the barn with a pretty steep grade up to the house. Total length to plow is just over 1,000 ft. Plus, I do my two closest neighbors driveways. Keeps me busy. Here's what one side of the driveway looked like this morning. I am in the truck plowing. It's worse now. About another 10 inches has fallen since then. http://i802.photobucket.com/albums/yy303/Eisboch/DSC_0488.jpg |
