really don't plow our roads in the neighborhood till later. Got sent
home today early though cause of the storm.... I have Wrangler AT's so I
usually get around pretty good if I can get off my street

problem is keeping our driveway clear so we can even get to the road.
The house sits about 600 feet from the road and the driveway circles
around the barn with a pretty steep grade up to the house. Total length
to plow is just over 1,000 ft. Plus, I do my two closest neighbors
driveways. Keeps me busy.

Here's what one side of the driveway looked like this morning. I am
in the truck plowing. It's worse now. About another 10 inches has
fallen since then.

Without that driveway, you could have taken a few weeks vacation down
south, and come back when the snow was melted away.
But then you wouldn't have had the "challenge."

You seem to be stuck in winter wonderland. You don't need to be pushing
it around. Find some good melting equipment or salt the hell out of

Saw what you need down at the Halifax Shopping Center on Sunday.
It was a big machine about the size of an 18 wheeler. A front end loader was dumping snow into it and the internal machinery melted the snow...you could see water flowing out of a good sized pipe into another area...I imagine it was a holding tank to be dumped down the storm sewers.

My problem is living in a city where the downtown streets were laid out in colonial times...that is..narrow and meant for horse buggies.
It's getting to be hard to navigate where the snow banks reduce the streets to about two thirds of their width and parking can be on both sides. I don't drive much these days to avoid getting my side mirrors clipped. In fact, with someone parked directly across from my driveway, it can be a squeeze just getting out on the street. In the past, if I complained and pulled out the 'safety card', the city would put up no parking signs on one side of our street. Guess it's time to start calling before the storm expected later this week hits.

spreader with his lawn tractor and you could see the route he took
