Nice!

I've flown over and driven next to that AFB more times than I would like
and it's an amazing collection of aircraft.
I've never been by it, but would like to see it.
Start here until you can visit it in person...

Unreal.

I was in Tuscon a couple of years ago for a week, and drove by that place, but didn't have a chance to visit. I did get to go the the only Titan missile site museum close by, and did the short tour. Really cool. Saw the control room with the two launch switches, and an inert Titan in the bay. They have an extended tour once a month on Saturdays, and I would love to do that. It's sold out well in advance.

When we were in the Dakotas we had planned to rent a boat in North
Dako0ta but the guy said it was too windy so we free lanced a trip up
to Minot for the state fair and I took the AFB tour. They have a
minute man site up there you get a look at along with a bunch of cool
planes.

Some very successful

I spent a cool winter up there surveying for the Minuteman sites with the US Coast
and Geodetic Survey. Not a fun place to be. A big sign over the road coming into town
said, "WHY NOT MINOT?" We could think of many reasons. At least the B-52's didn't
have to worry about hitting hills or trees on their approaches.

Why not Minot?
Freez'ns the reason.

You were there in winter OMG

That must have been a while ago. Coast and G changed names in the
Carter administration. (ESSA and then NOAA, maybe another one in
between)
The joke at GSA was they should put the agency signs up with wing nuts
so they would be easier to change.

From Minot they sent me to Cape Canaveral, so I did OK. This was in the early 60's.
They became part of NOAA in 1970. Fun job, especially while at Cape Canaveral. Spent
a lot of time in the Bahamas, and a few months on an old, refurbished PT boat.

Yup. And if you scroll around there are about 4000 aircraft there.
That's a snapshot.
