Writers today
People that write news articles now-a-days are increasingly ****ing me off. I remember a course I took in journalism or something eons ago. It taught that the basic "5 W's" (who, what, where, when, why) should all be outlined in the first paragraph with the rest of the article filling in details as known. Today it seems that an enticing headline is assigned to an article but the first four or five paragraphs are meaningless lead-ins to the meat of the story. I get bored reading the drivel and move on to the next article usually only to find the same style of writing. |
