....with one of my several Italian friends from New Haven who still lives
there. He asked me if I knew any Italians down here in Redneck,
Maryland. I only know one family, I told him, and they run two local
Italian restaurants.

"There must be more Italiano down there," he said, "they are just in
witness protection."

Probably not, since the mafia ain't what it used to be. John Gotti was
right...we were better off with the real mafia in our midst than the
present day non-mafia gangs.
