But from what I gather he was a just and fair man. But wether from above or below, nobody gave him any crap. Chief Petty Officers are the backbone of the Navy. Everyone, including Commanding Officers, have a high level of respect for them and will give them a wide berth in many situations, allowing them to resolve problems or issues among the crew. |
