Putting yourself in Wilson's shoes for a minute, how would you react if a punk kid (and he was a punk) reached into your car window, punched you, and tried to grab your gun? That's not a very good opening scenario for a peaceful resolution. Nope it's not and I agree he was a punk. Or high as a kite. According to the media, Wilson has been negotiating his resignation anyway. There's no way he could ever remain a cop in Ferguson or probably in any other city. He's paying a price. Not sure if he would be personally responsible for his legal defense if it had gone straight to a trial or had the GJ indited him. I suspect his union would cover his legal costs. |
