Unless CNN is making up stories again, Ferguson has a newly built police
station that is located in the predominately white section of town.
That's where the Guard was last night.

The Guard was *not* deployed to the predominately black section of town.

As they should *not* have been. They freed up the cops to do the job
cops, not the National Guard, are trained to do.

Good call.

Listen... here's my tin hat math. Sharpton and the parents got in with
the Communist Party, New Black Panther Pussies, and a Hamas party rep
who glorifies cop killing on his FB page... This of course is part of an
ongoing theme from kallege to govt provided child care to make sure cops
second guess themselves before they shoot, with the intent of allowing
more cops to be injured or killed... They brought in their own
terrorists last week to teach grade school kids how to protest and
incite litigation. This is what Ferguson wanted, and they got it... I
wish however they would just go back to sniping looters, that would slow
them down a lot...

At least he's trying to pay them off.

From what I heard, he isn't.. but he isn't being prosecuted because
indeed, there is a double standard in the US Justice System, if you are
black you get a break...

If Wilson had been indicted he would have automatically lost his job
and been responsible for his own legal defense cost, which would be
considerable.

Putting yourself in Wilson's shoes for a minute, how would you react
if a punk kid (and he was a punk) reached into your car window,
punched you, and tried to grab your gun? That's not a very good
opening scenario for a peaceful resolution.

Nope it's not and I agree he was a punk. Or high as a kite.

According to the media, Wilson has been negotiating his resignation
anyway. There's no way he could ever remain a cop in Ferguson or
probably in any other city. He's paying a price.

He is very close to vested in his pension... I think within a year or
so... Bet "the media" didn't mention that but of course why would they,
it doesn't fit the "news" they are making up.

I imagine he could disappear in a big city department if he wanted to
but he may be done with the cop biz for personal reasons.

Not sure if he would be personally responsible for his legal defense if
it had gone straight to a trial or had the GJ indited him. I suspect
his union would cover his legal costs.

Very likely, the real question is whether sovereign immunity will
shield him from a civil action.

Well, unless somebody else does it I may have to start a go fund me for
the guy like I did my bud after Sandy. I think it would be nice if it
went viral and the guy ended up with a couple million to disappear with...

Usually the union would force them to keep him on the payroll until he
was actually convicted, not just charged.

Harry's lib arts degree failed him, he doesn't know how the crim justice
system works...

In the grand scheme of police shootings, this is as justifiable as any
I have seen. Most just involve a cop who shot a guy for a "furtive
move" or a shiny object.
Like Zimmerman, they may have had a valid beef with the process but
they hitched the wagon to the wrong horse. This was not the case they
should have pursued.
When you start with a guy who is walking away from a strong arm
robbery, then he assaults an officer (neither in dispute) it is not
the most sympathetic victim when that officer shoots him.

Unless he's black and useless...

And of course, both the cops and the national guard have experience
shooting unarmed civilians.

And of course, you have experience shooting off your mouth with no intellectual content.
