Hot damn...that means we Northerners can get on with the job of building
a progressive union of forward-looking states and the Southern
secessionists can get on with their vision of building a third-world

"Forward looking" means different things to different people. The same
"forward lookers" regarding some issues may also be the ones who long
for the "good old days" on others.

That's what's good about a democracy though. Individuals or groups can
propose and advocate for anything they want (within reason).
