Getting some serious wind up here on the coast between Boston and the
Cape. Haven't seen wind like this for a while.

Here's your reason, big low pressure system coming up the coast from
the Gulf of Mexico, not quite powerful enough to give it a name but
it's close. Looks like you've got 30K+ nor'easterlies moving your
way.

Let me know if that doesn't open properly. Graphic is from the GFS
weather model. That's what we use on the boat when we're cruising.

Opened fine. Nice. We're getting some gusts approaching hurricane
force but it's pretty localized.

We cancelled our golf today because of the wind. 20-25 mph with 45mph
gusts. I'd hate to hit a drive and have the wind blow the ball back
into my face.

It is that time of year for those of you in the Northeast. It is also just about time for the Gales Of November that occur on the Great Lakes. It is not a good time to be out on the waterways in either location.

Well, we're going camping down by the Potomac River, Pohick Bay. Won't
get to ride any big waves, but will get the rig winterized, and sit
around a fire as the sun goes down.

Gosh. RV'ing what, 15 miles from your house? Why not just park the
damned thing in your back yard, flame up the barbecue, and turn on the
lawn sprinkler?

What's there to winterize other than draining the water and filling the
lines with anti freeze. Don't forget the water heater and icemaker? You
might also want to critter proof the rig. Since you live so close to
Krause you could leave a peanut or sugar trail over to his house. He'll
do his best to keep all the pests around his abode.

That wouldn't be a bad idea for spring commissioning. We have, in the
past, done just that. Now that we live in a livable area we can partake
of whatever activity we like, year round. Except swimming, of course.

You should talk. Dipped your boat in any big water lately? Oh that's
right, your boat mfg or dealer said that your rig wasn't intended for
salt water use. Something about galvanic corrosion and electrolysis.

Not a whole lot. Several of us get together and do it at the same
time. It's more an excuse for one last campout. I've got an air
compressor and we'll all blow our lines out - then fill them with
anti-freeze. Last year the dealer 'winterized' the rig as it was there
for service. This spring we had a pipe leaking that burst because the
dealer screwed up.

Yup, we get together at Pohick in March to de-winterize.

Harry actually takes his imaginary trawler on an imaginary trip to
Florida to winterize it.

business is it of Krause's to know anything about my family or
professional endeavors.
If Krause gets wedgied once in a while it's of his own making. Tell him
to quit whineing. It's not manly.

that's

Don't think I have to justify my boat use to someone who hasn't seen
real water since his 'Love Boat's cruises in the Wavy Navy back in
the
60's.

FlaJim isn't allowed near the water...he's subject to EPA fines if he
dips one oily toe in it. Has he told you about his adult children?
Now
that is a giggle.

Little do you know, literally.

How's your tin hat construction going. Hope you're not too klutzy to
accomplish that simple task.

Sounds like harry is creeping into others personal lives again... how
typical.

Creep is a good word to describe Harry.

Yup...

If you and Flajim combined intellects, you could be a...cretin.

Oh, my bad. I misspelled creap.

Is FlaJim referring to the adult children he never refers to, or the job

doesn't own he doesn't refer to, or the job his wife had he never refers
to, or the wife he never refers to?

LOL!

Harry, from where I sit your lust for detailed info on FlaJim is comical.

Smart guy, that Jim.

I don't recall telling tall tales here about my wife. So, as far as I'm
concerned, Krausebag has no right to make inquiries about her. What
business is it of Krause's to know anything about my family or
professional endeavors.

So does blackmailing... I am sure like he did to me last year, he is
trying to hold something he found creeping around in the shadows over
his head.
