What's there to winterize other than draining the water and filling the
lines with anti freeze. Don't forget the water heater and icemaker? You
might also want to critter proof the rig. Since you live so close to
Krause you could leave a peanut or sugar trail over to his house. He'll
do his best to keep all the pests around his abode.

That wouldn't be a bad idea for spring commissioning. We have, in the
past, done just that. Now that we live in a livable area we can partake
of whatever activity we like, year round. Except swimming, of course.
How long is your boating season?

You should talk. Dipped your boat in any big water lately? Oh that's
right, your boat mfg or dealer said that your rig wasn't intended for
salt water use. Something about galvanic corrosion and electrolysis.

Not a whole lot. Several of us get together and do it at the same
time. It's more an excuse for one last campout. I've got an air
compressor and we'll all blow our lines out - then fill them with
anti-freeze. Last year the dealer 'winterized' the rig as it was there
for service. This spring we had a pipe leaking that burst because the
dealer screwed up.

Yup, we get together at Pohick in March to de-winterize.

Harry actually takes his imaginary trawler on an imaginary trip to
Florida to winterize it.

Don't think I have to justify my boat use to someone who hasn't seen real water since his 'Love Boat's cruises in the Wavy Navy back in the 60's.

FlaJim isn't allowed near the water...he's subject to EPA fines if he
dips one oily toe in it. Has he told you about his adult children? Now
