It sure is easier in a place where water doesn't freeze.

I will let you all know... Still gonna' have to dig anyway so we will be
there. Personally I bet it's as simple as a elbow and threaded pipe
right through the casing to the house.. the pipe sticking out of the
ground might be attached, but it doesn't carry water above the freeze
level, again is my guess...
