It's a 16 foot Whaler in plywood, loosely designed to mimic a classic 13 foot Boston Whaler Hull. Amazingly the hull will cost a dollar a pound and it will weigh just about 500 pounds (plus tax ...Unlike my Camper design this hull is not dependent on the weight of the wood so I will build it of exterior plywood and doug fir. It will be a self jigging boat, if I was at my shop I could knock it off in a week... but we will see how I do with the neighbors and how much flack I get from the town... |
