Use Chem-dip or another aluminum cleaner. I am not sure what they had in the tank but they called it a hot tank and a carb came out looking brand new., Hot tanks where they cleaned blocks would eat aluminum. Made nice bubbles in the tank. The engine block tanks used Caustic Soda. |
