I just realized how important it is to handle and use your guns on a fairly regular basis. While discussing the laser modes in another post, I opened my safe to see which of my handguns had lasers on them. I haven't used or handled any of them since last summer when the weather was nice and we went to the range fairly often. When I pulled them out of the safe, I stopped and realized I needed to re-familiarize myself with each one. Took my time with each one doing all the safety checks, etc. Right now I have them all spread out on the table and am going to break them all down and re-assemble, just for the hell of it. Too easy to get cavalier about their handling. |

The .45 govt is ok when you're familiar with it, but takes a lot more hand tricks. |
