My brother in law deferred his trip back to Indiana when he saw the weather forecast. Atlanta traffic sucks in a sunny summer day. I am not sure why he goes back at all, at least until Spring. I think that is the second week of June in Kokomo. I use to teach a week-long class on newsletter writing and production at UND in the late summer. Did that for a number of years. Beautiful campus, lousy town, and most of the rest of the state...aside from the northern bit of shore along Lake Michigan...was...awful. I came up from Florida as soon as the roads opened and tured right back around on my return trip.. The think I remember the most was on the way up the Nat Guard was using huge loaders to lift and deposit stranded cars on side of the highway into the snow banks to clear the roads. On the way back down a couple days later, all those cars were laying there, upsidedown, stripped, and burned.... |
