I decided to upload some photos on Photobucket. My initial plan was to
just try to show the lighting that the Walmart LED lights produce in the
loft I had built years ago. I ended up taking more pictures to create a
slideshow and decided to reveal the "Secret Room" that Hank alluded to a
few days ago.

Little background:

Our house has three floors ... actually four if you count the finished
basement. All the floors in the main house were finished when we bought it.

It also has an in-law apartment above the garage that includes a small
living room, kitchen, bedroom and bath. The third floor area above it
was *not* finished and the only access to the attic area was via one of
those pull down ladders in the hallway of the apartment.

I was up there one day and noticed that there was a area that was
partially framed as if it was intended to be a room but never finished.
A large section of the wall was framed with became obvious to be an
intended large, rectangular cutout overlooking the apartment area. There
was also the basic framing for a narrow door beside it.

One day Mrs.E. told me I could use the apartment as a "man-cave" (mainly
to keep my junk out of the main house) and I decided to finish the
third floor room with sheetrock finished in a rough stucco look, some
paneling, build a home-made stairway and cutout the sheetrock covering
the rectangular opening. I did this years ago.

While doing it, I decided to add a "secret room". Some of you may get a
kick out of it. The bookcase is on hidden roller wheels on the bottom
and the longest draw slide I could find on the top. Keep in mind that
this was all done by an amateur ... meaning me ... during a boring, New
England winter.

Here's the slideshow link. I also tried to take pictures of the LED
lights on full and also dimmed to about 50 percent.

Aren't those speakers a little over-powering in that room, or are we seeing only a small part of it?

I assume you are referring to the monitors on the desk. Yes, they can
be loud but there's a simple device on the mixer called "main volume". :-)

No, I was talking about the humongous thing next to the bookcase!

Oh. That's a Fishman SoloAmp. They are popular with acoustic/electric
guitar players and singers. It too can be loud but has gain and master
volume controls.

Ah, I thought maybe you were using something like this for your computer monitors:
