To all: My Laser days are soon to come to an end. At 42, It just doesn't
seem that fun anymore to get bashed on EVERY wave! I am now looking for a monohull that is NOT a slug. I like speed. I know anything other than an Ultimate 20 is slow compared to a Laser but I now need something that can take 1 to three other people, have room for anyone to get out of the wind, yet be fast enough to keep my interest. Question: Is a Macgregor 19 a Slug? If so, what other boats under 22' are "good ones"? Thanks, Matt "Laser: Set on Stun" |

You might want to check out the Catalina Capri 22. It's a small water rocket
that has some room for a weekend trip and is still a kick to sail. "Matt Chitiea" wrote in message ... To all: My Laser days are soon to come to an end. only my humble opinion, based on NO experience on a Macgregor whatsoever.
It's a slug, or the best kept secret in the world. Just look at the sailplan, freeboard, LOW etc... "Matt Chitiea" wrote in message ... To all: My Laser days are soon to come to an end.
