The marina maintenance man has his hands full today.
He has at "least" 8 broken pipes from the freeze. Most of these are under the floating docks and someone must be in the water to do the repair. His boss decided it was better to turn the water off then let it run. Better than the last hard freeze when they had over forty broken pipes. I thought I was smart, I had 6 water outlets that I let run during the night, one of them still froze, when I checked it the next morning it had no flow. I found that pipe, (PVC) had broke at an elbow, I fixed that, then after things thawed, my wife report there was water running in the porch, our ice machine has an internal leak. I have not yet checked to see what cracked in that. It's always something. Mikek |
