That's a nice gun. This is on my shopping list:

http://www.berettausa.com/products/b...x-made-in-usa/

An old-school 92!

The Beretta 92 is what my son-in-law is carrying in Afghanistan. That's what the holster, etc, I got
for him was made for. That's a nice looking gun, but I don't know much about Berettas. I know they
won the Army contract over Sig Sauer, but I've been told it had to do with cost and the siting of
missiles in Italy. Not sure if I was given the straight skinny, but there you go.

I've got an opportunity (military retired) to get that Sig 226 for about $400 off the MSRP, which is
not a bad deal. Ii'm still kicking it around. I sure enjoyed shooting the thing today. The place I
use up here rented me the gun for $10 for an hour, as long as I bought the ammunition there. They
will not allow the firing of any ammo other than their own through their guns. Fair deal. For about
$27 I got to shoot 50 rounds through the P226. Next time I go down there, I'll ask about a rental
for the Beretta 92.

Two different firearms, John. The Sig is great. I have just over
twenty guns and this is a classic I'm adding to my collection. I
realize stainless isn't as authentic but I like my guns to look as new
as possible and stainless is much more forgiving than a blued finish.

That's one of the things I like about that Sig, above. Stainless guns are usually pretty nice
looking guns. I've not been back since I wrote the above, so I've not been able to check on the
Beretta 92 rentals. I'll bet they've got some, because they get a lot of military guys in there
shooting.

Just over twenty, huh? I'll have to tell my wife so she won't think I'm going overboard!

BTW, Buds Guns has a little better deal than the site you posted:

http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/i...ndguns/Beretta

In the price column, it says 'Price on Request', but I've found if you select two or three to
compare, you'll be able to see the price. That price was the same I've gotten when I've requested a
price.

The Beretta site was listing MSRP. Our local shop takes good care of me

Why Hello there, ya lil' Squirt Blossom!

I have to say, right off the bat, that it's wonderful that I'm *able* to set my sights higher! I can
see, for example, that that would be an important topic for you, given where your sights are kept!
Does this view get old, ever? http://tinyurl.com/oh2pmn3

And, by the way, did ESAFOAD show you his picture, taken when he was at WalMart?
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/image...ead-up-ass.jpg Everyone was wanting to know who the
guy in back was!

As to a 'comparison', I'm not sure what you mean. But, I have absolutely no problem with Dan. Why
should a comparison bother me? Trust me, Dan has got it all over you and your butt buddy!

So, when are you going to tell us what you did as workabee for the government up there? I see you're
an expert on johnny mops, so I assume you spent a lot of time on your knees in front of a toilet
bowl? True?

OMG! I almost forgot! I rode out to LLBean's today and saw this on display:
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...L._SL1500_.jpg It reminded me of my lil' Squirt
Blossom! I'll bet you have two or three of these already, right? I'll bet, if you waggle your ears a
bit, your butt buddy, FOESAD, will put one under your tree!

And, you never did tell us about your Christmas tree! You didn't deny having one, so ESAFOAD is
probably ****ed at you for celebrating Christmas. Oh ****....oh no...not that.

Gotta go, Spurt...****....Squirt!

Twenty-two with two on order. Ten are long guns. The 92FS and a 21
Bobcat in .22LR - also stainless. The Fort Knox Gun safe is due in
about six weeks.

I keep a spreadsheet with model and serial numbers. My HO insurance
won't cover all of them but if there ever was a theft I could supply the
information.
